In 2023, Jeffrey Lyon — formerly a risk and cybersecurity leader with Deloitte — realized something that troubled him: the security tools, frameworks, and talent that protect Fortune 500 companies were completely out of reach for the clinics, nonprofits, and growing businesses that need protection most.

These organizations handle sensitive data — patient records, donor financials, client confidences — and face the same sophisticated attackers as large enterprises. But they don't have in-house security teams. They don't have $500,000 security budgets. And most of the "solutions" they're offered are either too complex, too expensive, or designed for an environment completely unlike theirs.

So he built TheCyberWild with a different premise: that most cybersecurity programs fail not because of bad tools, but because they ignore the human element entirely. An organization can have perfect technical controls and still be breached the moment a single employee makes a single human decision.

Drawing on 30+ years of enterprise risk and governance experience — and a unique background as a certified NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) Practitioner — Jeffrey designs security programs that work on both dimensions: world-class technical infrastructure and genuine behavior change at the human level.
